Mark Hernandez, current drummer for Forbidden, Demonica, Social Unrest, Re:Ignite and Slob, has been recruited for Testament's upcoming European tour dates for November and December.
Testament drummer Gene Hoglan has also been busy with Dethklok. When Dethklok re-booked some shows that were canceled earlier, it caused some conflicts with a few previously scheduled Testament dates since Gene couldn't participate in them.
Mark Hernandez will help out Testament but isn't available until November 25. So various shows will be staying the same but others may be moved to 2013.
All refunds for cancelled shows are available at point of purchase.
Confirmed appearances as of now are as follows:
November 27 - Garage - Glasgow, Scotland
November 28 - Wulfrun Hall - Wolverhampton, UK
November 29 - Ritz - Manchester, UK
November 30 - Koko - London, UK
December 01 - Hard Rock Hell - Prestatyn, Wales, UK
December 03 - Dynamo - Eindhoven, Netherlands
December 05 - KKZ - Moscow, Russia
December 06 - Za Ozhidaniya - St. Petersburg, Russia
Testament recently wrapped up a co-headlining North American tour with fellow American thrash metal greats, Anthrax, and label mates Death Angel.
Testament scanned 20,720 copies of their new album 'Dark Roots of Earth' in its first week of sales in the United States according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The album debuted at No. 12 on the US Billboard Top 200 chart, making it their highest first week sales since the inception of SoundScan. This also marks the highest first week sales for a Nuclear Blast artist yet.
