Mundi, music of and for the world, has announced the release date for their sophomore album: \"The Book & The Flower\" - Thursday, November 2. The full length album, a follow-up to 2004\'s \"Apple Howling,\" is a result of the talent of five extraordinary musicians, just back from a tour of Spain.

The occasion will be celebrated with a release event on the grounds of Barr Mansion, a lovingly restored 1898 home, in the Artisan Ballroom - a fitting space, built from the timbers of an ancient barn. Tickets are $12 and will include tapas and a performance by Mundi. CDs will be available for a special $10 price - tickets will go on sale in early October via www.mundiensemble.com. Doors open at 7:00 pm - performance starts at 7:30.
Mundi promises music of celebration and lament within the CD. Given their recent tour, two Spanish pieces are on the track list, and also \"the Alphonse Suite\" - a series of three cantigas from the court of Spanish King Alphonse X.
BARR MANSION: ARTISAN BALLROOM
An Eastlake Victorian home built in 1898, the Barr Mansion and surrounding grounds are a very appropriate setting for this Mundi milestone. The performance will take place in the Artisan Ballroom, constructed from the timbers of a barn circa the 1770s. The front facade, soaring over 40 feet, is composed entirely of delicate glass and allows the beauty of the inside to be a part of the glory of the gardens outside.
