In July of 2006, Mundi took on a tour of northern Spain. 6 performances took place in Astorga, A Coruna, Santiago de Compostela, Ribadeo, Llanes and Castro Urdiales. Most performances were in 1000 year old cathedrals. Some of the music performed came from that time period.
The crowds were overwhelmingly receptive and enthusiastic. Deep and lasting friendships were formed with the cultural commissions of each state.
The music that brought them to Spain were cantigas penned by King Alphonse X (The Wise). During their visit, band members were able to see the actual handwritten book of the cantiga music in the library of El Escorial. When the band arrived in A Coruna, the cultural commission gave the band a facsimile copy of the book, created by their commission, as a gift.
The band is in the studio currently on the follow up to 2004\'s \"Apple Howling\". The album will feature several of the cantigas.
The band immediately began planning to return to Spain for several music festivals in June 2007.
