After rejecting several prototypes based on images of actual drum sets, the final design was inspired by the MPC, a looping beat machine used by producers to create beats. The grid style buttons make it easy to create a cool sounding drum beat with little work.
Accelerometer based interaction is one of the iPhone\'s unique features. Harmonist Inc claims to have incorporated this interaction in a logical way: shakeable instruments.
