Ludwig/Musser Percussion are pleased to announce that Kevin Packard is their new Director of Marketing, Combo Percussion, and Brandon Sims has accepted the position of Design Engineer, Percussion. Late January 2008 Leslie Butts accepted the position of National Accounts Manager.

Brandon Sims Brandon is a prominent product development engineer, and a percussionist by passion! Currently, Brandon is obtaining his Masters of Science in Acoustical Engineering and will bring a needed skill-set to the Ludwig/Musser team.
Brandon is a part of an internal organization change which will significantly enhance the presence of Ludwig/ Musser in the percussion instrument marketplace.
Because of his knowledge and experience within the industry, he will prove to be a valuable asset to a newly formed team lead by the General Manager, Grant Henry.
Kevin Packard Kevin has a long history in the percussion industry and comes to Ludwig from Ddrum where he served as Division Manager and seriously raised their profile.
In his new position, Kevin will be responsible for the establishment, design and implementation of Ludwig division instruments, working to make continual improvements on all existing percussion lines.
Kevin has extensive experience in educating company employees, dealers, retail employees and consumers on all percussion instruments. He is particularly highly skilled in the design of hardware, parts and instructional materials, planning and design of product marketing, along with artist relations and customer relations.
Leslie Butts Previously Leslie Butts accepted the position of National Accounts Manager in the Ludwig Drums division of Conn-Selmer, Inc. Mr. Butts has a wide range of experience in sales and sales management with prominent percussion manufacturing companies, and many awards for outstanding achievements in sales performance.
A lifelong Ludwig player since viewing the Beatles and Ringo Star on the Ed Sullivan show, he currently continues to enjoy his mid-sixties Sky Blue Pearl Ludwig kit that was purchased when he was in the 8th grade. He plays in local \"blues bands\" around the Los Angeles area, continuing to impact the music environment in his community.
