Percussion Construction and its former owner, Bruce Salyers, have recently relocated to Houston. All mallet production will now be housed in the Pro-Mark factory.

Mr. Salyers brings with him years of experience, having performed with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra and the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America. He holds both a BME and MME from Arkansas State University and is a published composer as well.

Founded in 1990, Percussion Construction enjoys international distribution. Among its endorsing artists are highly respected players such as Doug DeMorrow, Kai Stensgaard, Mike Yoshida, Blake Tyson and Jon Metzger.

The company recently introduced a line of 100% Hemp-wrapped mallets unique to the market.

In making the announcement, Pro-Mark president Maury Brochstein said,

“With this acquisition, Pro-Mark is now the only manufacturer to house both drumstick and mallet production under one roof at our Houston facility. No other drumstick or mallet manufacturer can make that statement!

We now have complete control over the process from start to finish. In addition, we’ll be able to move much more quickly to satisfy market demands.”
