\"The reason I chose 6.5\"x13\" is because I\'ve played a lot of snares over the years, from 12\" to 16\" in diameter, and 3.5\" to 8\" in depth. 6.5\"x13\" is right in the middle to me. It gives me a rimshot that\'s out of this world, and I can get the fattest, deep snare sound ever. The possibilities are unlimited with this snare drum. The reason I chose triple-flanged hoops is because for the 30 years that I\'ve played drums, I\'ve seen many drummers in concert, including my father John Blackwell Sr. And they all have used triple-flanged hoops. They give you that old school sound and feel for any style of music.\"
This is Tama\'s new snare drum: it\'s Black and it\'s Well!
