Practicing with a metronome is extremely useful for learning to accurately play the correct tempo, to make sure you are neither rushing or dragging, and to develop a rock-solid inner sense of rhythm.

To help you get a good inner pulse, the German company created the metronome of the 21st century: the Soundbrenner Pulse. It's a watch-like band that's wearable on wrist, arm or leg. It's also smart and powered by vibrations.

Vibration over clicks
Making music, we often tap our foot or move our body a bit. The feeling of the vibration integrates in that body feeling. That's why you don't need to focus so much as you would have to with an audible click.

Thanks to patented technology, the vibrating mechanism in the Soundbrenner Pulse is three to six times stronger than your smartphone's. And unlike the vibration of a phone, the Pulse's vibration is strong and well defined, with precise beginning and end points.

Florian Simmendinger, co-founder of Soundbrenner, explains:

"You can imagine if you're a drummer and your hands are in motion and you're wearing something on your arm, the vibration needs to be very strong."

Tempo maps
Want to switch to a different tempo or time signature throughout a song? Soundbrenner got you covered. They added the possibility to create tempo maps. You can set up the different time signatures and rhythm patterns for each sections of your songs in the mobile app and save them into set lists for easy access.

Midi sync
And if you already use a click track in a music production software, they thought about you too.

Create the click track straight in your favorite daw and synchronize it via midi with the vibrations of the Soundbrenner Pulse. (Compatible with Ableton Live, Avid Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and more! Macs only).

App
An iOS and Android app is available. You can connect the metronome to smartphone, tablet or Mac via bluetooth.

Synchronize your band
With the 'multi-link' function, you can simply connect all Soundbrenner Pulses in the room to the same Android or iOS phone. This smartphone serves as the hub for control and can set the tempo and the rhythm pattern for up to 10 connected Soundbrenner Pulse! Every device will vibrate in perfect synchronization.

Change the tempo on your wearable device
With beats per minute (bpm) tap and the bpm wheel you can change the tempo in seconds without taking the smartphone out of your pocket.

Thanks to an crowdsourcing campaign that raised over 200,000 USD, Soundbrenner was able to manufacture their first production batch in December 2015.

Products will be shipped at a retail price of $99 USD for one Soundbrenner Pulse including one black body, one short black band, one long black band, one charging station plus mobile app.

A band package of four devices will ship for $339 USD. Packages of two, three and five devices are also available.
