Watch the new Roland TD-25 Drum Sound Module demos by product specialist Dirk Brand at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. Roland launched the new module the first morning of the Messe and its features are just as cool as you can expect from the Roland Company. There are 18 drum kits in it, 21 multi-effects, 8 reverbs, an equalizer and a lot more features that we listed below. In the five videos with this article Dirk Brand shows you all that cool, the new design and the scope the module has. All audio is recorded directly into our Sony camera through XLR, to give you the most natural reflection of a direct recording of the module.
The Roland TD-25 covers everything you expect of a drum module: you can record with it, export your audio, it has a built in metronome that you can adjust to your sound and needs, you can play along to WAV and MP3 files, and it is very easy to use. The sound engine of the module is based on Roland's flagship module, the TD-30.
Very cool are the Coach functions that make studying easier. You can change pitch and adjust almost everything to your needs. Another cool feature is the display that makes navigating through the module and the selections pretty easy as well. To get the right drum sound, you can customize each drum and cymbal in every kit in the module.
In short: you can do what you want with it, create the coolest effects for recordings or live, take your drum study to a higher level and while you're at it, record everything as well.
