As published right after the Musik Messe 2014 in Frankfurt, Germany, Tama launched their new and inventive Star Hardware line. After the succesful introduction and comeback of the Star drums at NAMM 2013, the company now ships the full hardware line for these drums. From a clever drum basket snare stand to the new cymbal felts, Jeroen Bakx from Hoshino Benelux shows you the works of the new stands and mounts in two minutes. Also added are some detailed images of the new Tama inventions.

All models are designed with these concepts in mind: adjustability, stability and sound.
Simon Phillips, Kenny Aronoff, Matt Garstka, and Billy Rymer about Tama Star Hardware
Adjustability The new hardware is equipped with a number of newly developed features. Both new Orbital Quick-Tite Cymbal Tilter and Orbital Quick-Tite Boom Tilter enable easy and quick adjustment of the cymbal position with only one wing nut.
The new Swivel-Wing Tom Holder features our omni-ball system with moving around an arc backward and forwarded by 100mm, providing even greater positioning flexibility.
The new Cradle-Hold Snare Basket for the snare stand also enables you to easily adjust the length of the arm as well as the basket position to be parallel direction. Due to its simple construction and since no vertical post is needed to adjust the spread of the basket, you can achieve much lower position. The snare stand accommodates not only standard 13"-15" snare drums but also 12" diameter snare drums with just rotating the black block part between two arms.
Stability The new design of the tripod base and bigger rubber foot provide much improved stability for all Star series stands.
Glide-Tite Grip Joint allows for a more secure attachment by using metal-to-metal contact point, providing an extremely solid anchor.
Sound To maximize the potential of instruments set up with Star hardware, the True-Sound Insulation Mute is equipped into the top pipes of all Star series stands to maximize isolation and bring out the true sound of cymbals and toms. Vibrations of a cymbal or tom will transfer to the stand, causing the natural sound to be partially absorbed by the pipe. To maximize isolation and bring out the true sound of cymbals and toms, an inner pipe mute is equipped on the top pipe of all Star series stands.
Glide-Tite Grip Joint is also contributing the sound as it secure pipes better and the stand does not move with the instrument, the natural resonance of that instrument is maximized.
The Ring-True Cymbal Felts also offer minimum contact between a cymbal and cymbal felt to maximize its naturel resonance.
