German cymbal makers Meinl introduce new additions to the highly succesful Classics Custom Dark Ride. Several new sizes of the Classics Custom Dark Hihat and Dark Crashes are added to the already immense cymbal line. The 14" Dark Hihat has a bright and warm stick response combined with a tight and pronounced chick sound. The Dark Crashes feature a full frequency range of fairly loud and cutting crash sounds.
These new cymbals are made in Germany using computer controlled hammering and lathing techniques with a special heat treatment. They are recommended for Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, and the more louder styles in music. Additional hammering was applied to both the Dark Hihat and Dark Crashes to add a trashier note to their overall sound.
