William "Kachiro" Thompson and Diego Galé both won an award for their performance on Vivir Mi Vida by Marc Anthony as Recording of the year.

Diego was also awarded for his participation on 'Sergio George presents Salsa Giants' as Best Salsa Album.

Rodny Theran Paz even bagged three Grammy awards: for Volvi a Nacer by Carlos Vives as Song of the year and Best tropical song, plus Carlos Vives' 'Corazón Profundo' as Best tropical fusion album.
