Living up to their name, Extra Dry series cymbals are extremely dry, with low-pitched, trashy and short sounds due to their unlathed surface and extensive hand hammering.

Meinl Cymbal Product Manager Stefan Mueller explains:

The new Meinl 16” Byzance Extra Dry Medium Thin Hihats are recommended for rock, funk, r&b, jazz and similar styles. They are also great for studio work.

The new Meinl cymbal is one of three new Byzance models, the others being a new 10" Vintage splash and Derek Roddy's 14" Signature Serpents hihat.
