French human beat box specialist Tioneb (real name: Benoît Poujade) has won the second annual Boss Loop Station world championships. Tioneb was crowned at the King Kamehameha Club in Frankfurt, Germany during day one of the Musikmesse/Prolight + Sound trade show.
An esteemed panel of international judges, including percussionist Michael Shack, picked Tioneb as the best musician after he had delivered an intense looping performance featuring only his voice.
Beatboxer Ondra Havlík aka En.Dru from Czech Republic won second prize, beatboxer Vakhtang Kalandadze from Russia was awarded third prize.
