Michael Anthony Davila from Kerrville, Texas, has won the global finals of Mapex Drummer of Tomorrow 2012 competition. The world finals were held at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany on March 24.
By winning the contest, Michael got to receive a complete Mapex Black Panther Kit, a two-year Mapex endorsement contract and a week's tuition at the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles plus full return tickets and a week's accommodation.

Michael Davila proved to be the best of the thirteen finalists, including Tiago de Souza from Brazil, Carlos Andres Baro Sepulveda from Chile, Chris Lawson from Australia, Wei Bin from China, Paul Rosi from France, Andreas Goeschl from Germany, Muhammad Iqbal from Indonesia, Riccardo Speca from Italy, Wojtek Sitnik from Poland, Paco Casas from Spain, Cheng Sun from Taiwan and Will Stokes from the UK.
