In addition to the performances going on both days, Meinl's full assortment of cymbals, percussion, and drum gear will be on display for everyone to see and hear.

On Sunday you can also enjoy a guided tour through Meinl's cymbal factory.

Day 1: Saturday, June 23
The first day of Meinl Drum Festival 2012 will host a series of exclusive master classes to a limited amount of 300 attendees. Each masterclass will last for about 60 minutes.

Master class instructors and subjects

• Hannes Grossmann (Obscura) will focus on progressive concepts for technical metal drumming.
  
• Jost Nickel (Jan Delay & Disko No. 1) will teach how to use a click effectively when playing in a band and while practicing.
  
• Jens Herz (Bamberger Symphoniker - Bayerische Staatsphilharmonie) and Guido Marggrander (Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks) will give a symphonic percussion master class.
  
• Mike Johnston, founder of online drum video lessons at mikeslessons.com, will give a master class called Travelling Through Time, about applying polyrhythms to practical drumming.
  
• Georg Feltes (FOH and instructor for Event Technique) shares his experience and knowledge of sound engineering for the drumset
  
• Benny Greb will give you new insights about Groove Design – the art and science of playing, feeling and developing a strong groove.

Day 2: Sunday, June 24
The second day at the 2012 Meinl Drum Festival will feature live performances of some of the best drummers in the world today:

• Jean-Pierre "JP" Bouvet, winner of the 2011 Guitar Center Drum Off Contest and US Champion in the Roland V-Drum Contest 2011
  
• Miloš Meier of Dymytry, Kraken Exist, and his workshop annex drum show Drumming Syndrome
  
• Hannes Grossmann of Obscura
  
• Mike Johnston of mikeslessons.com
  
• Matt Halpern of Periphery
  
• Drio, the German drumtrio featuring drum greats Benny Greb, Wolfgang Haffner (Till Broenner) and Jost Nickel

An additional supporting program will feature several of Meinl's percussion endorsees such as the Italian master conguero Giovanni Imparato, Onkel of the German band Ohrbooten, among others.

The 2012 Meinl Drum Festival will finish with a signing session of all participating artists.

Pricing
A two-day ticket for Saturday June 23 and Sunday June 24 costs € 35 per ticket (€ 30 for students). Two-day tickets will be exclusively sold on meinldrumfestival.com, to a limited amount of 300 attendees on a first-come-first-serve basis. Ticket sale will begin on March 1, 2012.

One-day tickets for Sunday June 24 are € 23 at the box office. Presale price is € 20 (sold on meinldrumfestival.com), price per ticket for students is € 12 (both presale and at the box office). Entrance is free for children up to 12 years of age.
