It was only a couple of weeks ago that Silverchair announced their 'indefinite hibernation', but drummer Ben Gillies has no time to get bored since he's busy finishing his new solo project.

The album has been in the works for about 12 months. It is expected to be released later in 2011.
Ben is in the final stages of producing his solo release, described as "a very varied-sounding record" that spreads from pop to rock. Ben has written each of the tracks and also sings them.
It is not the first time Ben Gillies has ventured out on his own. During Silverchair's 2003 hiatus, he formed a rock band named Tambalane, which released an self-titled album in 2005.
