AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd doesn't have to worry any longer about problems touring overseas after having his cannabis conviction discharged today. Phil saw his conviction for cannabis possession overturned by a judge in New Zealand.
A judge rejected his lawyer's request for a discharge without conviction after he argued a criminal record could hinder the musician's international touring duties.
Phil Rudd's conviction has been wiped from his record now. Because his offence was at the "lower end of the scale" teh drummer was discharged without conviction on the condition he paid $1,068.38 ($1,100 USD or £685) to cover the prosecution costs.
