Tendonitis is an inflammation of the tendon, the tough yet flexible band that connects your muscles to the bones. Tendonitis is most often an overuse injury, caused by too many repetitive motions.
In 2003 Torry Castellano was successfully treated the onset of tendonitis with surgery. But this time around surgery isn’t an option and despite undergoing numerous types of therapy, trigger point shots, exercises, and rest, drumming has prevented her from healing.
The Demonics drummer Amy Cesari, who has filled in since 2009, will continue playing with the band.
Torry Castellano will attend Stanford University next Fall.
