The Dennis Brown award is named after the late London jazz drummer, who valued music above all else. Its recipients are chosen by the JRMA steering committee.
Graham Lear\'s career took him from the London, Ontatrio\'s Police Boys\' Band to tours with Paul Anka, REO Speedwagon and many others.
He joined Santana in the fall of 1976 and left in 1988, tired of the extended touring.
During Graham\'s stint with Santana, the band recorded such albums as \'Moonflower\', \'Zebop\' and \'Viva Santana!\'
