Ringo Starr is the 2,401st name to grace Hollywood thoroughfares with a bronze plaque so many celebrities covet.
Ringo\'s star, will commemorate his solo work. It will appropriately, be embedded outside the landmark Capitol Records building at 1750 N. Vine Street.
Nearby, Beatles band mates John Lennon and George Harrison each boast their own sidewalk stars.
Meanwhile, Paul McCartney has long been approved for a star, with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce working to find an appropriate day to schedule the event with the musician.
The Beatles as a group share a Hollywood star at 7060 Hollywood Boulevard since 1988.
Performing for Ringo Starr\'s award are musicians from the Los Angeles Unified School District All District Marching Band, on hand to honor the ex-Beatle in the manner to which he has always been accustomed: through music.
