Nick Augusto, known from the band Maruta among others, was introduced to Trivium\'s fans hen he filled in behind the drum set on the group\'s \"Into the Mouth of Hell We Tour\" trek in 2009.

Travis Smith, the group\'s original drummers since their 1999 inception, sat out the second leg of the band\'s tour in order to take care of some \" personal business\" at home.

Says vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy about the new sticksman:

\"We\'re really happy to have our good friend and fellow Floridian Nick Augusto join the Trivium family. Nick\'s drumming is very technical and diverse and he brings a real intense energy to the band and we can\'t wait for everyone to hear the new song, Shattering the Skies Above, that we just recorded with Nick.\"
