Ross was freshening up after the band’s show at the O2 Academy in Birmingham when the glass shower door unexpectedly fell off and shattered into tiny shards, injuring the drummer in the process. Comments Ross Jarman:

\"I took a shower after the show – the glass door fell off, smashed into pieces, cutting my hands and feet really badly. (...) Needless to say I was happy certain areas were unharmed.\"

It is not believed Ross needed hospital treatment and he was back on stage at the Brixton Academy, in London, the following night.

In March 2009 Ross was reported to have broken his left wrist in a skateboarding accident, whilst recording The Cribs\' fourth album in Los Angeles, California.

After only having one track laid down, he carried on and finished the last eleven tracks taking Vicodin in between takes, then having his wrist cast after finishing his album commitments ten days later.
