Contrary to a fabricated story that ran on undercover.com.au, a small entertainment website, drummer Charlie Watts has not left the Rolling Stones. The British rockers issued a terse statement denying the online report.

The website, quoting an unnamed source, claimed that Charlie had quit the band and would never record or tour with the band again.
Also, the Stones were supposedly looking to Keith\'s X-pensive Winos drummer Charley Drayton to fill the void.
When the Rolling Stones drummer was asked about it on the BBC today, he had just two words to reply: \"Not true\".
Charlie Watts joined the Rolling Stones in January, 1963. He didn’t expect it would last and kept his day job for several months until he felt the band started to build up a career.
Charlie Watts, renowned for his jazz drumming style, has also pursued solo music projects, including releasing the 2004 album \'Watts at Scott\'s\'.
That same year, the drummer was also diagnosed with and underwent treatment for throat cancer, which is now in remission.
