Jimi Hendrix could have just named himself Guitar. Miles Davis could’ve traveled the world as Trumpet and still would’ve become a legend. But no, they dared not call themselves exactly what they were: extraordinary people who could penetrate your soul through skillful manipulation of a common object. Only The Band had the brass to tell each and every one what they were up to. The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney decided not to beat around the bush and now presents Drummer.\"Dan Auerbach, vocalist/guitarist for the Black Keys was leaving on tour to support his solo record, and I wasn’t going to have anything to do for a while. I soon came up with the idea of establishing a band dedicated to good feelings.”
So Patrick teamed up with four other cymbal crashers: Teeth of the Hydra\'s Jamie Stillman (guitar), Beaten Awake\'s Jon Finley (vocals, guitar), Houseguest/Six Parts Seven\'s Stephen Clements (keyboards, vocals), and late Ghostman and Sandman\'s Greg Boyd on, yes, drums.
Drummer\'s debut album is called \'Feel Good Together\', and it\'s out September 29 on Carney\'s own Audio Eagle label. An October tour will follow.
