\"The past five years in Razorlight have been an amazing experience. I am very proud of everything that myself, Johnny, Carl and Bjorn have achieved together but for personal reasons I have decided to leave the band. I will be pursuing other musical ventures.\"
Andy joined the band in 2004 after the departure of original drummer Christian Smith-Pancorvo. He wrote the band\'s biggest hit single America and is featured on the albums \'Razorlight\' (2006) and \'Slipway Fires\' (2008). Last year Andy also released a solo album dubbed \'The Colour of My Dreams\'. He was featured in many drum magazines, including the cover of Dutch drum zine Slagwerkkrant 139 in 2007.
Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell gratefully looked back on Andy\'s stint with the group:
\"From the day he walked into our rehearsal studio it was obvious that he was an amazing drummer and he\'s contributed on many levels beyond that. He\'s been a great player and a great friend and I think we\'ll both always be proud of the music we\'ve made together. As far as the bands future is concerned we\'re all looking forward to touring with Skully and getting on with making our next record\".
Razorlight have a busy summer ahead. With a top 5 album and single notched up in Germany, the band head out to America, Australia and Europe before returning to the UK for May shows at 02 Arena and Manchester MEN followed by UK festivals.
