Former Guns \'n Roses drummer Steven Adler has been ordered to return to rehab to treat his drug addiction. According to the Associated Press, a Los Angeles court commissioner stated that the drummer could avoid prison by participating in a state-sanctioned drug rehabilitation programme.

Steven Adler was arrested in Los Angeles in July and charged with felony drug possession and being under the influence of drugs.
Steven performed and recorded with Guns \'n Roses from 1985 to 1990. He was fired from the band for excessive drug use.
In 1991, Adler formed a new version of his old band, Road Crew, with Vain singer and composer Davy Vain. However, the project was unsuccessful.
In 2003, he started the band Suki Jones, which would later be renamed Adler\'s Appetite.
Steven\'s substance abuse issues continued after he was fired from Guns N\' Roses. In a 2006 interview he stated that, at times, he used $300 worth of drugs in one night.
More recently Steven appeared on the VH1 television show Celebrity Rehab With Dr Drew.
