Thanks to a successful local campaign, orchestrated by Warren police sargeant Joe O\'Grady and radio dj Fast Freddie, the petition was unanimously passed by Warren\'s city councel.
The city will hold a dedication ceremony to mark the name changing, although details on when are not yet available yet.
Contrary to popular believe Dave Grohl was born in Warren, Ohio and not Seattle, Washington. Having spent just a few years of his life in Warren, Grohl moved to Alexandria, Virginia, where he became drummer Washington DC punk band Scream, before heading to Seattle, Washington, to join Nirvana in 1990.
