Steve Foley, who played drums with the Replacements at the tail end of the band\'s career, has passed away. He died on August 24, 2008 in Minneapolis. Steve was 49 years old.

According to local media reports, the drummer died after accidentally overdosing on prescription medication.
Steve Foley was recruited to substitute for original Replacements drummer Chris Mars in 1990. Soon after the band embarked on a long farewell trek, the All Shook Down tour, which lasted into the summer of 1991.
On July 4, 1991, the Replacements officially broke up following a performance in Chicago, referred to by fans as \"It Ain\'t Over \'Til the Fat Roadie Plays\" because each member disappeared during the set, their respective roadies taking their places.
After the group\'s break-up Steve Foley joined post-Replacements project Bash & Pop.
