Slipknot sticksman Joey Jordison has broken his ankle, forcing his band to cancel their European festival appearances at 2 Days a Week, Leeds, Reading, Area 4, as well as performances for MTV Europe and Virgin TV. Doctors have advised Joey to stay off his leg for 4-6 weeks to prevent further damage.\"We know you will be hugely disappointed and so are we. Canceling shows is never an easy decision and we apologize to all our fans, friends and family for not being there to throw down with you. We will be back in Europe this November and can\'t wait to see you all then.\"
Ironically, the metal band’s DJ Sid Wilson broke both his heels when jumping off the stage during the launch of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem fest last July.
Slipknot\'s new album, \'All Hope Is Gone\', is scheduled for release on August 26. In addition to the standard edition of \'All Hope Is Gone\', a special edition of the album will be released featuring three bonus tracks, expanded artwork and a bonus dvd containing \'Nine: The Making Of All Hope Is Gone\'. This is a 35-minute documentary directed by Slipknot percussionist Shawn \"Clown\" Crahan.
