British drummer Graeme \"Crash\" Crallan, who was part of the UK heavy metal scene in the \'70s and \'80s, has passed away. He died Sunday July 27, 2008 after a fall in a London street. Graeme Crallan was 50 years old. Graeme collapsed on Sunday and suffered head injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the Royal Free Hospital, in Camden.

An inquest has now opened into his death, which police are not treating as suspicious.
Graeme \"Crash\" Crallan played with White Spirit, releasing their debut album \'White Spirit\' for MCA in 1980.
After the group split up in 1981 Graeme went on to be part of London-based group Tank until 1985. He continued playing in various other bands, including Britton and Panama.
