Josh Homme, frontman of Queens Of The Stone Age, has once again gotten behind the drum kit for his other band, the Eagles Of Death Metal.

Josh has nailed down the drum tracks for the group\'s third album, \'Heart On\', which should be out on October 21.
Josh Homme and guitarist/singer Jesse Hughes started Eagles Of Death Metal around 1998.
They debuted with \'Peace, Love, Death Metal\' in 2004, followed by sophomore release \'Death by Sexy\' in 2006. This latter album also featured Joey Castillo on several tracks.
The Eagles Of Death Metal will kick off a co-headlining tour with the Hives on September 16, 2008 in Austin, Texas. While Josh will have returned to QOTSA, Gene Trautmann will step in as session drummer for their live shows. Gene was previously touring drummer for QOTSA and is featured on half of their 2000 album \'Rated R\'.
