\"My first drum set in 1992 was a late 80\'s Ludwig set and I still use pieces of that kit to perform live with as well as record. I have always spoken highly of Ludwig Drums even after getting deals here and there with a lot of other drum companies. I am now enthusiastically sharing my views on Ludwig Drums. Ludwig\'s quality, craftsmanship and sound is unmatched by any competitor still today. Their Black Beauty snares are legendary, ask John Bonham, Ringo Starr or Keith Moon if you could. Just some of the drummers endorsed by Ludwig you may have heard of?? Haha.\"
Cary LaScala went with a 9\"x13\" rack, 16\"x16\" floor, 16\"x24\" kick - all in a classic gold sparkle, a 6.5\"x14\" brass on brass Black Beauty snare, and a back up 6.5\"x14\" brass on brass black sparkle snare.
Cary LaScala has been endorsing SilverFox Drum Sticks as well since September 2007. Continues the drumming artist:
\"They are the most durable sticks I have ever used. That to me means a lot as with some of the bands I play with, I hit really hard! Ironically, SilverFox Percussion was the creation of percussion innovator and legendary drum corp instructor Al LeMert. From 1965 through 1982, I worked with the Ludwig Drum Company where he pioneered such innovations as pitched bass drums, power toms, Vista-lite drums, Challenger SD, marching timpani, die cast hoops, and Modular hardware (the best and strongest mounting system in Ludwig history).\"
In related news: Cary LaScala iscurrently in the studio recording Bellavista\'s second album. They have plans of touring Europe with the Trail of Dead this summer. The Frail will be in the studio this month to record their second ep.
