Mike Pittman, former sticksman of Divine Ruins and Distant Warning, has died. The drummer suddenly passed away on Monday August 27, 2007. Vocalist Ronnie Stixx has issued the following statement: 
\"On behalf of Divine Ruins we would like to send our deepest heartfelt condolences to the family of Mike Pittman. I was shocked to have learned of his passing. Mike was a good friend to me and a great bandmate. He was always full of life and he gave it all he had. That\'s what I loved about Mike... no matter what! He always came threw and I am glad to have known Mike Pittman. We will deeply miss him. His spirit will carry on.\"
Mike Pittman was longtime drummer in Colorado Springs-based melodic metal band Distant Warning, until he parted ways in September 2006. Pittman was followed up by Steve Larson in January 2007.
