Drumming luminary Marco Minnemann has joined German death metallers Necrophagist as their new permanent drummer. Marco Minnemann is replacing previous sticksman Johannes Großmann, who decided to focus on his study.\"The band is absolutely stoked to announce that Marco Minnemann will be drumming on the new Necrophagist album, due in 2008. We can\'t wait to work on arranging the new songs with such an incredibly talented, proficient and complete musician/composer.\"
The list of musicians Marco Minnemann collaborated with throughout his impressive career includes legends such as Paul Gilbert, Mike Keneally, Allan Holdsworth, Terry Bozzio, and Chad Wackerman.
Minnemann is endorsing DW drums, Zildjian cymbals and Pro-Mark sticks, along with Roland electronic drums, Evans heads and Audix micophones.
Minnemann will start playing drums for Necrophagist on the upcoming Summer Slaughter Tour starting June 1st 2007. The tour is featuring headliners Necrophagist with support from Decapitated, Cephalic Carnage, Cattle Decapitation, The Faceless, As Blood Runs Black, Arsis, Ion Dissonance and Beneath The Massacre, and special regional guests Daath on selected dates.
The series of gigs will see Necrophagist performing their last album \'Epitaph\' in its entirety for the first time live.
