\"When Riggs approached me about joining the band, I was like, \'When do we start touring?\' Then he explained that the new album \'Sleaze Freak\' was just about to be recorded and he wanted me to learn the songs, meet up in L.A. and lay down drum tracks, so I had all these songs I had to learn in just a few weeks, record my ideas and send \'em back to Riggs. It all happened so fast...\"
Riggs claims Ivan De Prume is a perfect fit for the vibe of the band, especially musically:
\"He\'s an amazing drummer and we\'re all looking forward to having him on board as a part of the team.\"
Scum Of The Earth will begin recording \"Sleaze Freak\" on February 13 at Belt of Orion Studios in Los Angeles. A spring/summer release via Eclipse Records is expected.
Scum Of The Earth\'s debut album, \"Blah…Blah…Blah…Love Songs for the New Millennium\", was released in 2005 via Eclipse Records. The CD features Riggs alongside an all-star cast of friends, including John Dolmayan (System Of A Down) and John Tempesta (Helmet, White Zombie, Rob Zombie, Testament, Exodus) on drums, and John\'s brother Mike Tempesta (ex-Powerman 5000) on guitar. The Tempestas\' appearance on the album marks the first time the brothers have played together on record.
