Wim\'s departure comes prior to the release of Gomer Pyle\'s new EP, the successor of their debut album \"Eurohappy\", which was released on Elegy in 2000.

Sander Evers, he spend the last six years behind the drum kit with Eindhoven based electro-stoner rockers 35007, is Gomer Pyle\'s new sticksman. The musicians state on the band\'s official web site:

\"We are happy and proud to say that our good friend Sander Evers will fill in the blank spot Wim has left behind. Sander and GP go way back as Sander has always been the sound engineer for GP. GP will defenitly not take steps back with Sander as the new drummer. Not without reason Sander has been the drummer for 35007 for the past 6 years. The 35007 music and heavy pounding drums of Sander have even been a great inspiration for GP music. So now we\'ll see if we can get GP on yet another creative level.\"
