Carlsson has previously played with Merciless, Dia Psalma/Strebers and Transport League. The drummer continues playing in Harm\'s Way. No reasons for his departure with Blackshine have been given at the moment of writing.
Stefan \"Stipen\" Carlsson joined Blackshine in 2002, when previous sticksman Håkan Eriksson decided to leave the band three weeks (!) before the promotion tour of their 2002 album \"Soulless & Proud\".
Stipen did an amazing job in learning the songs in such short notice, making the tour a successful one and he became a permanent member afterwards.
Blackshine recently announced that they have signed a new record deal with NMS/Escapi. However, according to a posting on their web site, the musicians are \"having problems releasing their latest album \"Lifeblood\"\", which has already been recorded and mixed.
The follow-up to 2002\'s \"Soulless & Proud\" (SPV), \"Lifeblood\" was recorded at 52ND Music Studio with co-producer Tor Adolfsson.
