Contrary to many rumours flying around in the Rikets camp, the band has not broken up.

In fact quite the opposite: founding member/vocalist Scott Rose began tracking songs for Rikets\' upcoming full-length \"A God Among Insects\" last week, with producer/co-conspirator Ben Schigel (Chimaira, Allele). The first track, The Murder, has been posted on the band\'s Myspace page.

The Murder will however be the last track to feature most of the \"Anything For The Devil\" EP lineup, as Rikets has unfortunately parted ways with several members, including drummer Angel, guitarist Bradley Kochmit and sampler/vocalist Matt Haze.

The departed musicans have all resurfaced in a new project called Tinjen. Additionally, Tinjen and Corporate Punishment have worked out a deal that will see the release of their as-yet-untitled debut LP in stores Spring/Summer 2006.

Comments vocalist Rose on the recent developments:

\"All the guys in this band are like brothers, and it won\'t be the same without them. We\'ve had a hell of a ride the past year, and I wish them the best of luck, and thank them whole heartedly for their contributions. Unfortunately there were personal and musical differences that spiraled out of control, and this is the end result. But, that said, we\'ve come way too far to throw in the towel now.\"

Rikets started as a studio project with Scott Rose and Ben Schigel, and that\'s how a lot of the EP was recorded. Now, for the time being, Rikets has been reduced to a duo again.
