During the session on September 21 Paice recorded the tracks One Dollar Baby and Halfway to Heaven. Both songs will be included on Moonstone\'s second album.

The project\'s first CD, \"Time to Take a Stand\", which also features Ian Paice, will be released in early 2006.

Main man Matt Filippini states on the Moonstone web site:

\"I spent the last few days with a legend: Mr. Ian Paice... in Italy to record 2 new songs for me. The day after the sessions, on Sept 22nd, I played a show with Paicey...packed house with 700 screaming guys, great feel on stage, 2 encores, beers...lot of fun!\"

The project is described as \"genuine British-oriented \'70s classic rock,\" not a million miles removed from the likes of Free, Jimi Hendrix and Deep Purple.

Moonstone\'s debut album features guest appearances by an all-star cast of musicians, including Paice, Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath), Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, Alcatrazz, Impellitteri, Blackthorne), Eric Bloom (Blue Öyster Cult), John Lawton (Ex-Uriah Heep), and Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot, Heaven & Earth).
