\"I\'m not a big fan of live records, but the way we\'re putting this together, it\'s gonna be almost like buying another Slipknot record. We\'re really gonna package it and make it a special piece. And, you know, we\'ll have a live video to go along with it and everything, so I\'m looking forward to that as well.\"
Among the twenty tracks featured on \"9.0 Live\" are classic Slipknot songs like Pulse of the Maggots, Duality, Vermilion, Left Behind and Wait And Bleed.
In other news: the Iowa-based group will kick off the \"Subliminal Verses Tour: The Final Volume\" on October 14 in Cincinnati, Ohio. This will be the band\'s final run in support of its 2004 release, \"Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)\", which has sold about 1.2 million copies in the United States.
Joey Jordison is a busy man, as he is also captain of a team for \"The All Star Sessions\", initiated by Roadrunner to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Jordison has written and produced the song Annihilation by the Hands of God for the upcoming all-star compilation.
It features Glen Benton (Deicide) on vocals, Matt DeVries (Chimaira) and Rob Barrett (Cannibal Corpse, ex-Malevolent Creation) on rhythm guitar, James Murphy (ex-Testament, Death, Obituary) on lead guitar, Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Sadus) on fretless bass, and Jordison on drums. Commented the drummer:
\"I had the idea of using Glen Benton on the song before even writing anything. However, instead of writing a typical death metal song, I wanted to do something a little more structured, even hooky, while still maintaining death metal and blast beat aspects.\"
