The Australian-based rock musicians enjoyed world-wide success until the tragic death of lead singer Michael Hutchence in 1997.
From that moment on the band played live shows featuring guest vocalists including Terence Trent D\'Arby, Jimmy Barnes, Jon Stevens en Suze DeMarchi.
Recently Farriss and his fellow band members decided to look for a new permanent singer. A camera crew follows the band through a 13 week live-audition process.
At the end of each episode an elimination round takes place. The television audience has the opportunity to select three of their least-favorite performers. Then, each of the three performers sings an INXS song. Based on those performances, the members of INXS decide on which one of the three will continue on to the next round.
