The Portuguese drummer broke the previous record, set by Kunto Hartono from Indonesia, by 10 hours.

Carlos set the new world record at a local mall in Castelo Branco, Portugal in November 2014 but had to wait nine months before the Guinness Book Of Records officially recognized his attempt.

Earlier this year, Carlos Santos set another record when he performed a double stroke drum roll that lasted 19 hours, 28 minutes, and 25.00 seconds.

Carlos is using his feat to raise awareness over the issue of parental alienation – a situation where children are kept from coming into contact with one of their parents after a family separation - and for positive parenthood.
