Journey drummer (and sometimes singer) Deen Castronovo was arrested on charges of 4th degree domestic violence assault and menacing after an early morning domestic dispute. The arrest happened last Sunday in the drummer's hometown Salem, Oregon.
Deen Castronovo was booked for assault, coercion, and menacing, Salem police confirmed. He's been released on bail and is due to change his plea June 30 according to court records.
A representative of Deen's claimed at the time that the altercation was "a misunderstanding that should not have been escalated to such a level in the first place".
It's the drummer' s second arrest following a domestic dispute. Deen was also arrested in Oregon in 2012 for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Journey is currently in the midst of a tour; their next date is Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl. As for whether Deen will be playing drums - no comment from the band as of yet.
