At that time Billy Cobham played with Ira Coleman on double bass and Australian Joe Chindamo on piano. When the trio arrived in Tokyo, Japan in 1992, they performed a live show that is now available on these two albums.

Billy Cobham has an enormous list of recordings, artist collaborations and solo releases on his name. Here's a shortlist of who he has worked with over the years to just show his enormous versatility: Miles Davis, John McLaughlin, Mahavishnu Orchestra in the early '70s, Jack Bruce, Mark-Almond, the revived Mahavishnu, Bob Weir and the Grateful Dead.

Fun fact
Last year Billy Cobham returned to his mother-brand Tama.

Everyone attending the Tama 40th Anniversary Event at NAMM 2014 saw that one coming when he opened the evening playing the Tama Star drums. Cobham was one of the first Tama-endorsers ever.
