Although Phil Rudd (Lithuanian born Philip Hugh Norman Rudzevecuis), drummer for Australian rock band AC/DC, was released on bail, he is being charged with trying to procure the murder of two people in New Zealand. Besides that, he was also charged with threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis. In New Zealand, hiring someone to kill another person is punishable by up to 10 years in jail.
Phil Rudd appeared in Tauranga District Court on Thursday afternoon. He is due back for his next hearing in three weeks. New Zealand police did not reveal any details behind Rudd's arrest. This all took place between September 25th and 26th.
On December 2nd, AC/DC release their first album in six years 'Rock or Bust'. It is unclear how this all will affect the upcoming 2015 world tour to promote the new album. It is the first album guitarist Malcolm Young, who suffering from dementia.
