Tony's full Premier drum kit plus Ludwig Black Beauty snare drum will be offered for sale on June 10 and is expected to fetch as much as £15,000 (€18,500).

The drums going under the hammer as part of the Pop Culture sale at Christie's in South Kensington, London.

Tony McCarroll, who co-founded Oasis in 1991 but left the band on bad terms in 1995 and was replaced by Alan White, says:

"This drum kit was used by me throughout my time with Oasis, from the very beginning during rehearsals at the Boardwalk in Manchester through touring and the recording of Definitely Maybe. I have owned the kit ever since and as it is just gathering dust, I have decided to give Oasis fans the opportunity to own it."

Caitlin Graham, from Christie's, says the auction house is very pleased to be offering such an important piece of Oasis memorabilia in the year that marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Oasis' generation-defining album 'Definitely Maybe' and the birth of Britpop:

"The critically acclaimed album sparked a revitalisation in British rock music which can still be felt today."

Tony previously tried to sell his drum set two years ago, in January 2012.
