Bad news for Bon Jovi fans: the rockers were forced to cancel their gig at the Foro Sol venue in Mexico City yesterday (September 10), due to an emergency appendectomy performed on drummer Héctor "Tico The Hitman" Torres.
It was only hours before showtime when it became clear that Tico required immediate treatment to remove his appendix and was quickly hospitalized.
The band alerted fans to the cancellation by posting a message in Spanish on their official Facebook page.
The show will be rescheduled for a later date to be announced. Tickets purchased for the canceled show will be recognized at the new date.
According to the doctors, Tico needs at least two days of bed rest. That's why Bon Jovi's show in Santiago, Chile that was scheduled for September 13 has been postponed as well; until September 25.
