Police in Kentucky have a warrant for the arrest of the drummer. Gossip site tmz.com first reported this and Harrodsburg Police Lt. Chad Powell later confirmed that the warrant was issued.

According to Mercer, Kentucky police documents, the accuser owns the tour bus and was renting it to Mickey Hart.

The alleged victim claims the drummer's manager had called him over to the bus because Mickey wanted to talk to him. But when the accuser entered the bus, the drummer took him to the back and started beating him up:

"[Mickey Hart] threw me down, started [to] cuss [at] me, hitting me, pushing me around then told me to get off my bus."

Why the drummer beat him up is still a mystery. Mickey has released a statement, denying all allegations:

"I am totally baffled by a bizarre claim of assault by me coming out of Kentucky - the home of Bluegrass and a state I love dearly. Any accusation or claim of assault against me is completely false and without any basis whatsoever. I played drums on 'Shakedown Street', but I never expected to be 'The Victim or the Crime'."
