Jarrod, previously of Suicide File among others, joined the group in September 2011 after the band's former drummer Michael Pedicone got fired when he was being caught stealing. In an interview with The Aquarian, My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero offered the following comments:

"Jarrod is a rad guy and a fantastic player. It's been really fun making music with him these past few months. He loves coffee and hitting drums super-hard. And the fact that he's not a thieving piece of garbage is a breath of fresh air."
